Magic report 1/26 - drowning_flys - 01-27-2013 We got out and fished magic today. It pretty much rained all day but the fishing was pretty good caught tons of little perch and fishing for trout was slow i think we managed 4 or 5. Only one real nice one. Ice was around 15 inches thick but edges were open in most places and you had to hop out to the ice. there was a pretty good slush layer and lots of water. the ramp leading down from west magic was a sloppy mess and if it would have been another 25 feet longer i would have had to get a better run to get out. I was pretty proud of my daughter today her fishing ability has really grown. Tiny pink jigs, set setting for super lite. Numerous times they would go off simultaneously. Great fun. I have my catch ratio up to around 80% with the Jackers.
