DIY GoPro Mount - remo_5_0 - 11-18-2012

I usually wear my GoPro on the chest strap but I get to much footage of my hands, decided to try the headstrap but after a long day it hurts to much. I had a spare mount so I put my 8th grade Home Ec. skills to work last night and mounted it onto the left shoulder of my vest, I think it will work great, I will try it out on Tues.

you will have to post how it works. I have been thinking of getting a go pro to use while fishing and wondered how it would work.

Hero 3 is smaller, lighter, built in wireless (wifi) and the apps for your phone. For a hundred more I would save pennies and buy it. I have two Hero 2's and I will be getting the 3.
I mounted mine to the Scotty extension and put it in the back rod holder on my pontoon. I also have the wireless with the wrist remote.

I think you have been catching too many 8" Have you seen the 16in bows i just caught today. I'm sure my cutting board isn't 8"

I'm pretty sure these fish aren't close to 8".

Here's a dose of some nice fish.

Indeed, that trashed computer is definitely larger than 8" [laugh]

Maybe you guys like it but I don't generally like the wide field of view that makes the picture look curved with GoPro. Is there a way to change the lens or something to make the picture more realistic?

Re: [riverdog] DIY GoPro Mount - remo_5_0 - 11-19-2012

Ya, lots of setting options and you can change the FOV.

The 3 is suppose to be easier to change that, but like Remo said, adjusting. I like the fish eye as it can cover a way bigger area than a regular camera. Sure it is curved but you can see everything.
