[unimpressed] Any info on these ponds in the last few days ?????...Weston usually comes early. I have fished Daniels on Thanksgiving day in the past.

I wouldn't bet on it. Even the backwaters of Cutler, just south of Weston, only have a skiff of ice with plenty of holes and open spots. It's supposed to warm up too, so it's likely going to be a little while.

The dam at weston always is first. It is always in the shade. Daniels usually follows about two to three weeks later. I have an itch that needs some serious scratchin.

It's always the last to ice off in the spring too it seems. Still, the forecast calls for mid 40s to low 50s for the area, so I doubt it will be fishable by Thanksgiving.

Drove by Weston today a small amount of ice in the shallow water. Come on cold weather

I had heard that Daniels got drained because of disease in the fish. Is there any truth to that??

In the Blackfoot area the still waters usually are not ready to fish SAFELY until mid December at the soonest and usually not until right after Christmas. New Years Day is usually the practical kick off of the ice fishing season in the region. It's a choice between ice fishing or football. I'll take ice fishing.

Yep I can say I want there and it was for the most part empty,, the two fish I caught out of the mud puddle left were small covered on mights just gross. They said it would take 5 years to clean it up and get it back.[angelic]
