Fish ID - Rock Bass or Roanoke Bass? - CaptainNemo68 - 11-03-2012 This one is a tough one for me to ID. I caught the fish out of the Nottaway River in Virginia where both species exist. The Nottaway is one of the few rivers that contain Roanoke Bass and is part of the Chowan drainage. I was shocked at how big it was....at least ten inches long. Biggest sunfish I have ever caught.
