My app is called CamRuler in the iTunes app store and it's the PERFECT app for fishing. If you're a catch and release guy, you probably like to take photos of your catch - next time, just hold a quarter up to the fish, take the pic, and this app can measure it later on!

I've been fishing my entire life - growing up in Southern California, I spent a lot of time around Catalina and the HB flats fishing for Calico Bass and yellowfin. I almost always catch and release, so I thought an app like this would be helpful.. now there will be no question as to 'how big that fish was' in your photo.

I look forward to being a part of this community.

Welcome to the site Prometheus. Sorry but as a new member you are not allowed to post links, please see the FAQ above for the rules of the site. It does look like a nice app and if you are interested in advertising on this site, I can help you out and give you a 10% discount.

Sounds like an interesting app, seen photos with an "ice-auger" that was used as you suggest - an 8" blade, therefore . . .

Now if I had more than a quarter in my saving account I might be able to afford an iPhone plan, and . . . .
