The ones i have seen are more golden in color, is this not the norm? nice fish. The biggest I've seen is 11 ft. The biggest I've caught is 9.5. I'd love to go up north and try for a monster like this one. Anyone wants to try in Idaho send me a message, we fish for fun I am not a guide. Here is another pic from the Fraser. It's all C&R except for the Indians that have very few rules on what they do... Just go during the Shad run and you can catch the fish of a life-time Look back at the old photos of some of the monster they pulled in with horse teams... "It's all C&R except for the Indians that have very few rules on what they do... " but that is not the case. There are slot limits and they open and close the season frequently but you can keep sturgeon. I grew up in the Dalles fishing the columbia river and sturgeon are one of the best eating fish out there. A 14 foot fish would be amazing, in my 27 years in oregon a 12 footer was the biggest I heard of being caught.
