Preston area lakes - brownieguy - 09-30-2012 Any news on the various lakes down that way? I took my daughter for a drive down that way and checked out weston, deep creek, and devils creek. All three of which are low but still in decent shape. the trout at Deep Creek were actively feeding and we saw a family catch a couple fish while we hiked around there. My daughter fell and cried a little bit and spooked a group of 6 deer, the fall part wasn't fun but the deer got her attention pretty quick and then she was just excited to see some animals. There were a couple people fishing at weston but from what I could tell they weren't doing anything. Water is pretty low all around, but fishing is still good, at least in the lakes that weren't massacred. Water was still in the mid to upper 60s as of the end of last week in the lake I was fishing.
