Auger Falls w/ a boat? - noakes - 09-30-2012

Where would I put in? Cedar draw? PM me please, I've got a short shaft motor and a 14' aluminum boat. Thanks!

Cedar draw or Niagra is the closest but even with your short shaft you may have trouble. Please be careful and wear you vests.
I have seen people walking the shore in the last set of rapids below where Rock Creek dumps in and lining their boat up so it may be done but the river is pretty low right now.
Good luck

Thanks for the help guys! I'm currently looking for a new boat, what kind would be the best for these rocky shallow spots? A Jon boat?

Ya, got from cedar to about crystal lake and had to turn around. Maybe if I had my pontoon still or a kayak but those rocks are crazy. It was worth a shot and a nice afternoon on the water. Maybe I'll try again next year.

It gets worse for another mile, then it gets worse again. It is not an easy haul. Ron

I have a sled and take 8 inches on plane, but we need more water!
