BASS? - flygoddess - 09-01-2012 Okay, as a bass player in a R&R band for many years, it is time to re-evaluate this word...LOL Catching them in the past, unexpected, but fun. This year there has been bunches of them. Large Mouth ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Small Mouth ![]() ![]() And White bass ![]() Most have been on a floating line. Smaller buggers. Water boatman, Glow Bugs. All I can say is, right now is bass time. [signature] Re: [flygoddess] BASS? - Flyfishinglover - 09-01-2012 thats good u catching some bass. Those are great fish and I bet those LMB put quite a bend in a Fly Rod. Good tug therapy for sure[ ![]() pa [signature] Re: [flygoddess] BASS? - STEVEF39 - 09-01-2012 Those are some pretty sweet looking flies there! Fun tugs! I've had one of my best bass years in Utah. One of my first fish on a fly was a Largie - hitting a Wooly Bugger the Gills were digging on. Ever try a popper with a dropper? Re: [CoyoteSpinner] BASS? - flygoddess - 09-01-2012 No. Poppers are fun, but not sure with a nymph. The Y connection I use could work. I just like tossing one or the other though. Like Dry Fly action for trout, Poppers have that same effect on me. Love "seeing" the take. [signature] |
