Bait now available at Woodland Beach, DE - CroakersWB - 08-30-2012
Hi, I would like to introduce Croaker's, opening for business with a kick off party at 100 Beach Avenue, Smyrna, DE, next to the state fishing pier.
We will have live bait and concessions on September 1, 2 and 3rd 2012. On Saturday and Monday at 2, we will raffle off 3 fishing rods each day (one for youth, teens and adults). On Monday at 2, relax and listen to the sounds of NOXX Roxx playing classic rock. It's even rumored Elvis will make an appearance.
The kickoff party is to raise awareness and also to raise funds to renovate the 100 Beach Avenue building, which is nearly 100 years old.
We will soon be placing live bait and food/drink vending machines outside.
In early 2013, we plan to open expanded bait/tackle and concessions in outbuildings while we renovate.
Eventually we plan to also add a convenience store, full restaurant/bar, bed and breakfast and wedding chapel.
We want to provide public restrooms as well as a sand shower and a fish cleaning station outside.
We have obtained business licenses to sell beer and cigarettes, which were the most requested items after bait.
For Labor Day weekend, we will have a limited selection of bait including bloodworms, night crawlers, cut squid, frozen bunker and a few frozen peelers as our live tanks are not set up yet.
We will have some cigarettes available to those of age at our kickoff, but will not yet be selling beer.
