Stanley ( Salmon River ) - Divin-Demon - 07-26-2012
On the way home from Montana stopped at Ellis ( 200-300 yds above marker ) Saturday night nothing doing there but guys said 10 where taken at deadman hole earlier in the day. Sunday -Monday morning fished 204 hole with 2 guys from Montana / California. Drifted corkies/yarn with and without roe and rags same way. Also tried floats ( 1 oz ) 18" -24" leader. I had one roll at it no real take, Cali guy hooked one lost it. That was it for 3 guys 54 hrs . Montana guy even tried a hotshot on a small diver. Spent rest of Monday with significant other ( dinner ect).[crazy] Fished hole below Redfish lake Tuesday and Wednesday morning nobody doing anything. Stopped at Buckhorn Bridge around 1PM about 8-10 people there. 2 guys camped there for 5 days. In a week they caught 2 saw maybe 6 -8 in that time taken. Tribal guys at the hatchery as usual but picking was slim - watched them for a good 30 -45 minutes and I saw 1 salmon snagged in that time. Nothing jumping into hatchery run, maybe 5-6 in pool below.
Maybe next year jinx still on.

Thanks for the report guys. I guess that settles the debate to go or not. Guess I will wait to see what happens next year!
