Jet Boat River Questions - Fowler127 - 07-18-2012
I spend the majority of my time on the Henerys fork in Rexburg, but the water level has dropped the past few weeks significantly and the fishing has really slowed down. I run a jet boat and was wondering as to any tips where some good rivers to fish would be with a jet and more specifiacally where to launch from.I moved To Idaho Falls about 6 months ago so I am still learning the area. Any tips would be appreciated.

South fork above where The feeder canals come out. You put in at byington boat ramp and go up from there. Only one or two sketchy spots to worry about and they aren't really bad.

That ramp is right off of 20 right? how far down and up river can you go i thought there was some dams down river thanks for the tip by the way.

Down.....all the way to the diversion dam just above the county line road south of Roberts. I don't like doing that stretch in a power boat. Up.......all the way to pali
es if you got The gas tank.we usually don't get much above where burns creek drops in. And yes its on hwy 20,a mile or so past the heise/kellys canyon turn off. It has signs and is posted well. Prob the best ramp in my opinion on the whole river to.[signature]
