Swan falls 6-17 - cattrapr - 06-17-2012 Went out this morning, fished from 7:00 til noon, only caught about 20 fish. No keepers. All smallmouth, not like 2 weeks ago. The water is up about 2 feet and lots of grass. Anyone ever catch many crappie out there?? I caught a 12 incher. But only one. Last year above the dam I saw guys fishing an eddy by the dam pulling up crappie as soon as their jig hit the water. I know 2 years ago there were some being caught below the dam on the downriver side of the island. [signature] Re: [cattrapr] Swan falls 6-17 - elkmagnet - 06-17-2012 Thanks for the report!!!!! I've seen some big catfish and carp tails in the trees when the water was high enough to cover the brush below the dam. I really want to get a catfish, a big carp to try cooking without worrying about the tiny bones, and I need more crawdads. My wife has finally realized she likes them, but she still won't suck the head. Awsome report, Thanks ![]() [signature] Re: [Bardic] Swan falls 6-17 - manudevil20 - 06-18-2012 A few weeks ago me and a friend went out there catfishing and we caught one that was in the 9-10 lb range. We did loose a good sized fish on my 30 lb test though. [signature] |
