I prefer GLASS, but they come with a price,
ly. Get a pair that doesn't distort. I also prefer Bronze colored.My favorite are Orvis and Smith, but I found a very cool pair at the boat shop I will have to buy. Not sure on the name but they were great fit, no distortion when you turn your head and AWESOME looking.

just bought a pair of smith riverside glasses with the copper mirror polarized lenses. they are awesome. cant go wrong with smith optics. just remember when it comes to polarized, you get what you pay for.

I was just reading that glass was the way to go. I'm looking at some Costa Fathom's at Cabela's. A little pricey, but well worth it from the reviews.

I have had awesome luck with smith optics. Good to buy from an Idaho based company also. Buddys use natives and have been very happy with them. I've heard very good things about Costa del mars too.

I prefer oakley. They make fishing specific glasses that are also hydrophobic. I have smiths and they work but not as well as the oakleys. I've noticed costas magnify a little bit and it really annoys me.

Have you ever seen a man leaning over the edge of a boat to get a fish and heard a plunk followed by a whole day of cry about how those cost 300 and had real glass lenses? All of that whining almost ruined my day almost.
Mine cost about $30 and float for a second.

You cannot beat Oakley. They are the best scratch resistant non glass lenses on the market and the polarization is bar none. Smith, native, spy and costa del mars are all good also. I have owned some of all the brands listed but will only own oakley from now on.

Costas, hands down. The glass lens take a beating as do the frames and are lightweight for glass. I have Fathoms and Brines. Their repair shop is fast and reasonable and cover warranties. I used to be Maui Jim until these and Maui Jims are still very high quality and durable but the Costas beat them.
For less money Hobie makes some great polycarbon and glass lenses too. Check Ebay for all of these. Many authorized dealers on there and you can find discontinued Hobie models on there for even less money.

]I realize the on line price is up there but they can be found at a discount, but the Orvis Tri-Spectrum have the right set of filters to make them by far, UNBELIEVABLE sunglasses

I have a 15$ pair of berkly and they rock.. They dont float or. Anything but they sure do make the water glass and structure really sticks out. Gives you much better depth perception!

I wear prescription glasses and use Vistana fitovers. They're very nice, and much cheaper than prescription sunglasses.
