Need help with a rod and reel for my husband - fishinandishin - 06-09-2012

I need something lightweight but also tough enough to hang on to a bigger fish. Any ideas? Also I wanted your opinions on attractants and if they work or not. [Image: happy.gif]

We'll need some more info. What kind of fish does he go for. Larger fish? Largemouth bass or striper? Price range you want to spend?

Mostly we fish offshore for fish like Redfish, grouper and tuna. Price range I don't want to end up in the poor house lol. My husband is missing his right hand and has to use a sport prostetic so that's why I need the advice.

Cabelas has some nice combos and I think you'll like the one below. It has stainless Steel in it to cut down on weight. Even though it's a trolling rod set up, I like a line counter on my salt rods. Hope this helps.
