Okuma Baitcaster Reel San Juan S250: Need Help! - newbieinNJ - 06-06-2012
Hey everyone,
I have a technical equipment question regarding the Okuma San Juan S-250 baitcasting reel I just picked up. I need to gain access to the centrifugal braking system but I'm not sure how to get inside the side of the reel to get to it. There is no knob or piece to turn to open up the side of the reel. If anyone has this particular reel and can give me instruction on how to open the braking system area I would be appreciative.

Kevin,
You remove the side plate screws on the handle side plate, pull out the spool and the breaks are on the side of the spool for adjustment.
