I bought some floating worms the other day... I'm going to try your "worm-metl" trick to make a couple of "snakes" to try. <g> I don't have access to the bulk ones like you, so I got the Luck-E-Strike Floating Worm Kit. The Kit comes in four colors: brown, pink, yellow, green.
