Its brand new and when I turn the spool tension nob for like jigs or spinners it is so hard to reel and not
Smooth. It works one with lightweight worms. What's wrong? Please help

If it's like a Curado there is a plate opposite side of the handle, turn switch and cover slides open. You can adjust the "pegs" to your liking. I had to put a couple of them on the outside edge while the others are still on the inside edge. It's what works for me flipping or pitching heavy baits.

It's good now I had to open the plate for the breaking system and put a little lube on the lil gears
