Lake Lowell 5-1-12 with my 8 y/o daughter - H82Miss - 05-04-2012 Tough fishing! What a difference the cool, windy, rainy weather made from the week before. Last week while out with my 6 y/o we were hammerin' the bass. This week we only boated 2 in 5 hours of fishing. My 8 y/o daughter had her first day out on the boat and helped land her first Bass. My buddy caught one while flippin' in the trees. I caught mine while picking out a nasty backlash! I had about 60 feet of line out trying to get my reel back in order and when I finally began to reel it in, there was a Bass on!! I handed off the pole to my daughter and she reeled him in. We didn't measure or weigh him, but I would guess he was about 2.5 lbs, healthy looking LM. Hopefully the weather will get warmer next week and we can catch a few more. [signature]
