[font "Arial"][size 2]VIRGINIA BEACH, VA--Fishermen from across the country will converge on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay for the 6th Annual Striped Bass World Championship November 1 to December 31, 2003.
Presented by Mercury and Lynnhaven Marine, the event will award hundreds of prizes, including $25,000 to any angler who catches a striper that breaks the current Virginia state record. More than $10,000 in additional prizes will be awarded.
Anglers may register for the Striped Bass World Championship beginning November 1 at all participating locations. Prize structure and categories are open to residents and non-residents, and include the following categories: tournament largest overall, largest monthly, junior (16 years or younger), women's, fly fishing, surf and pier and military.
