The big and the small of it... - morcey2 - 04-07-2012 Tied some flies watching the Rockies game last night (1 down, 161 to go!) Bead-head stretch tubing scud. Pheasant tail tied a little short. Brassie that needs slightly heavier wire. Wingless black wet fly that worked really well on lots of high-country lakes 20 years ago. And Finally! A fluorescent bunny leech on acid. [] I threw the bunny leech just on a whim. I was actually going to have the top half of the tail red, but I forgot to tie that bunch of marabou onto the fly. I need to get a lot more practice and I need to discipline myself to sit down and tie a bunch of the same fly in a couple of different sizes. A need a couple dozen each of pheasant tails, hares ears, griffiths gnats, elk hair caddis, wolly buggers, adams, light and dark cahill, PMD's, brassies, and a bunch of different streamers.
