Fly Rod question - JLG78 - 03-20-2012 Other then the obvious difference in length... What is the difference between a 9'0" 5 weight and a 8'6" 4/5 weight? Same brand same model. I remember on the BIIx some thought the 5 was not so great but the 6 wt was awesome. Roll casting, a 9'er is great, but I can cast just as far with my 8'6" as I can with my 10'. However the 10 is great for high sticking in different current. [signature] Re: [flygoddess] Fly Rod question - JLG78 - 03-21-2012 I figured it out.. Amazon just had it worded weird.I checked on the actual Okuma site, it has more detail. The 8' 6" is a 4/5. The 9' 0"is a 5/6. Sorry..makes sense now.
