Where are the smallies going to be at this year? i have never gone smallmouth fishing in the spring due to traveling alot. Are they gonna be in the slow, deep water?

You are going to have to be a little more specific than that. I travel a lot too and conditions vary quite a bit. What state, lake, reservoir, river, etc are you looking to catch the smallies?
