The ice was still good but starting to thin. Its was around 8 inches when i went Last Saturday. The lake has come up alot lately and the edges were thin. Warmer days soon will make this place unfishable real soon.
The fishing was way slow. The fish seemed to be very inactive and very few were seen on my vex.
Was that you over by the Dam?
Was your fishing experience about the same?

I fished toward the inlet late evening last Saturday. We did okay but the ice had me a little on edge getting on and off. I found ice from 7inches to 12inches but the edges are a gamble. Biggest fish was 23". Caught 12 between 2 of us.

OK, your result confirm what I was feeling that the Lake is ready for ice off. The fish are lethargic and the ice is close to unsafe.
Our other fishfinder indicated water temps of 35 deg. so the ice is melting from the bottom up. Should be a great spring season.[cool]
