It wasnt of my choosing, you buy farm raised fillets here in Louisiana, you really dont know what your getting. the distinct taste of mud has dubbed them (mud cats). Tastes nearly similar too belly meat. You can cut down on the muddy/fishy taste with mustard, roll the fillets in mustard before you bread and fry them. I have been reading about people using 6-12 inch. bullheads for catching flatheads. Seeing as minnows, brim, perch, die so quick being hooked live i may try a bullhead. I know they will swim for you all night, as live bait. If this goes well, i have a 150g. stock tank i may just stock with small bait bullheads. [signature] |
