Golden Trout? - fish_hunter88 - 09-30-2011 Can anyone help me catch a golden trout? I know they are rare but It would make my year to catch one. Please help me. There is no guarantee, but they have been stocked and they have been found in the gill netting surveys. There were more cutts than goldens in there in the survey though.. You can look at other places the goldens have been stocked too. Just go to the F&G stocking web page. As has been said snow will hit up there any day now. I read a CA site and it seems they have several high mountain lakes that house the Hybrids and they are HUGE!!!! Its a little late to be thinking about heading up that high. But may be a trip for next august.
