Fin Strap Help - TheCarDoctor - 08-15-2011 After returning home from our tubing trip to Utah lake yesterday, I noticed one of the straps for my fins was no where to be found. [ ] I don't know the brand or anything of the fins, but I was hoping someone on here would recognize them and/or steer me to somewhere that I could get a replacement.I was so bummed, I went all the way back and retraced my steps to try and find them. In fact, I'm more upset about my lost strap than the FRS walkie-talkie that my 12 year old son dropped to the depths of Utah lake yesterday. ![]() [signature] Re: [TheCarDoctor] Fin Strap Help - albinotrout - 08-15-2011 What do the fins look like? [signature] Re: [TheCarDoctor] Fin Strap Help - flygoddess - 08-15-2011 You can google fin straps, but it sure would help to know what brand they are. [signature] Re: [TheCarDoctor] Fin Strap Help - albinotrout - 08-15-2011 They almost look like the creek company straps but won't know for sure without the pic of the fin. Here is a link for the straps from creek company. Here they are: ![]() [signature] Re: [TheCarDoctor] Fin Strap Help - albinotrout - 08-15-2011 Well I can tell you the brand. Browning. I have a set. Not sure where you can get straps though. [signature] Re: [albinotrout] Fin Strap Help - TheCarDoctor - 08-15-2011 I found some universal straps on ebay, but I'm not so sure about them. Maybe I ought to bite the bullet and buy a new pair of fins. Any recommendations? [signature] Re: [TheCarDoctor] Fin Strap Help - albinotrout - 08-15-2011 Creek company and classic accessories have some that are similar to the ones you have. You can get them at sportsman's warehouse. They often have a good supply of various straps. Be sure to bring your fin along in case they need to substitute something else. You can make sure it works.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Lots of different workable fins on the market. The Brownings are popular. Ditto for the Creek Company. A lot of us spend a bit more on soft pocket diving fins like the Mares line. And plenty of tubers use and endorse the Force Fins...although they are among the most costly.[/#0000ff] [signature] |
