Hey I'm new to the forum!
I am looking to buy a new spinning rod, but am not sure which I should buy. I currently live in Wyoming and fish trout mainly from lakes and small rivers. I want a rod that can handle that. But I am moving to Portland, Oregon in the fall and plan on fishing the Columbia River for small mouth, steelhead, and salmon and need the rod to be able to handle that. My budget is around $100, tight I know but I just need something that will handle it nothing fancy.
Any input is greatly appreciated!

tough to call as a set up for steelhead and salmon can be far different from a bass rig. medium action will catch steelhead but salmon is a tough one on a medium action. i would look at wich species you are going to fish for the most and buy a set up for that. then start saving for the next set up for the other species.
