solution?!? - crazedfisher21 - 06-08-2011 I know im a newbie to this art of striper fishing! but i may have a solution to the mushy dinos/chovies when they thaw out! has anyone used the nylon spawn sac squares? i use these for chicken livers for cats but i think they might work for chovies/dinos!! i dont know i may try them!!! let me know if one of yall tried this little thing yet![ ![]() [signature] Re: [crazedfisher21] solution?!? - gnelson651 - 06-12-2011 The easier way for me is to use dry ice in a small insulated zipper lunch bag. I put a bag of anchovies on top on the dry ice and they seem to stay frozen for most of the day. I change up cut anchovy bait about every 30 minutes (if I'm not getting any bites). I don't think the mushiness is the determining factor... freshness is. After 20 mins with no bites, I chum the old piece and put on a new. This has seemed to up my catch rate, but I have not been at it long enough to speak with authority. I'm sure some of the other guys can give you better info. Later, [signature] |
