Chum chime in - Largemouth_kid - 06-07-2011 [bobdumb]So what do you all think out this. I got choves on the cheap, so I cut my bait hook size. But the chum idea. I know alot of ppl just throw choves out so I cut mine up real fine n packed em in an ice cube tray added water and froze. I'm thinking it's going to act as a time release. Give me your thought as I'll be making these all afternoon. I'll add stuff to it if your suggestions are good. Thanks!!!! I think the stuff floats after its frozen, you need something to weigh it down. [signature] Re: [Largemouth_kid] Chum chime in - gnelson651 - 06-11-2011 Is it better to chum on the top or bottom? I used a weighted mesh chum bag which I lower two feet below my kayak. I use chum bombs and canned fish-flavored cat food in the chum bag. Then about every 15 minutes, I agitate the chum bag releasing material into the water. I was thinking about attaching the chum bag to the anchor line so it will hit bottom or be suspended where I attach the chum bag at some point on the anchor line. [signature] |
