[signature] Re: [albinotrout] float tube book - flygoddess - 04-27-2011 Joco's book is Fly Fishing tubing. Pretty good actually. Not taking away from TD's at all, just different approaches. [signature] Re: [flygoddess] float tube book - albinotrout - 04-27-2011 Yeah different approaches. First time I ever went float tubing was in my brothers round tube on strawberry with my fly rod. Still use the fly rod on occasion when I want to have a little fun.[ ][signature] Re: [albinotrout] float tube book - flygoddess - 04-27-2011 Why "when you want to have a little fun"? How is it different from spinning? I mean, Catching fish is fun..... [signature] Re: [flygoddess] float tube book - albinotrout - 04-27-2011 Diflerent approaches is all. Depends upon where I am at if I want to use the fly rod or not. I usually always have it with me. If I am in the Uintas, that is the rod I usually only have with me. Starvation I will use both spin and fly rods. [signature] Re: [albinotrout] float tube book - 1tuber - 04-29-2011 GET TD'S BOOK ITS GREAT AND HAS LOTS OF PICS. But it was written 20 years ago, and tubes have changed a lot since then. If you really want more up to date information on float tubing now, then get TD's book. It does a great job of covering all of the different aspects of tubing from fins to motors. Then if you are from Utah or Idaho get all of his other great maps and write ups on the local waters. Great stuff!!! [signature] |
