I stopped in my local Big 5 Sports today, just to see what kind of gear they had, and because I wanted to buy a cheap combo as a gift for someone. While they have a pretty poor selection of tackle (2 kinds of line?) I was very surprised at what else I found there. They have a huge box filled with worms, crankbaits, hooks, other lures, including lots of nice Rapala's, all marked 30% off. Also, a Daiwa jupiter 6'6" spinning combo. It is beautifully balanced, has a 7 bearing, very smooth reel and is very light. It's usually a $70, and they have them marked down to $30! If your on a budget, that is a smoking deal. i picked up one for the gift, and a second for me. I asked the guy how long the sale would last so I could pass that info on to you guys. Apparently you have a week starting today. Other combos are discounted also, some all the way down to $15.....
