Where are the catfish located in a lake,pond or river?Does anyone have any catfish fishing advice?Any advice will be appreciated

From my experience they are usually in the deeper holes, not necasarrily the deepest spot there is but deeper water. There are times of year they move into the shallows. I have done good in early mornings in the shallows around 6 to 8 feet but then when the sun comes up they go deeper. A lot of it deepends on time of year and also location you are fishing.
