I got sucker punched - idahoron - 03-18-2011 I headed over to Dog creek today. I wanted to test out the new pontoon trailer. It was 33 degrees air temp and 38 water temp. The water was real brown. There must be a lot of run off from the hills above it. Anyway, the wind was blowing about 15 MPH but I decided to try it anyway. I should have stayed home. Not a bite, but the trailer pulled nice. That water temp needs about a 10 degree raise before much is going to be happening I think. Ron [signature] Re: [idahoron] I got sucker punched - 2dogs - 03-19-2011 Gosh Ron, nice trailer! Looks like you could posssibly haul 2 pontoons on it. Last time I fished Dog Creek last year was late spring early summer an mostly caught 9-11" stocked trout. Used to catch a lot of nice bass there but it gets fished pretty hard now by our local "dairy workers" and they don't believe in throwing anything back. About 6 years ago I caught a 37" tigermuskie there on a white spinnerbait but I think they have all been fished out also. By the way, I fished SFCR down by Grey's last Sunday and it was awesome for trout but, some nice hybrids. I got this trailer in Buhl from Friesen and Son's. My kids are excited about the idea of taking the atv's out this spring. For short trips by my self I don't think I will use it that much.
