Overton arm 2/12 - Undurtow - 02-14-2011
Thought I would head out to echo bay sat. and see If I could find some striper action... Launched at 6am and started trolling up the marina side of the arm, trolled for about 2 hours wit nothin, wasnt marking many fish at all really. so around about 10am I am trolling through a cove and BAM somethin started runnin with my swimbait, I was pumped! thought for sure I had something sweet on the other end, so as im reelin it up I see these big puckered lips of a carp lookin at me... all I could do is /sigh, give him a sip of beer and throw the mac tool box back in the water.. trolled for another couple hours with nothin. came up on a few boats on the way back and talked to a guy at the boat launch and it was the same story... nothin. great day though, was just happy to be on the water

Nice report n pic [cool] first time I heard of a carp hitting a swimbait those suckers are getting pretty active right now.

Nah he didnt bite 4pound, I snagged him near his tail.. just thought it was kinda funny, I was only going 3 or 4 mph at the time.

Oops [blush] didnt really make sense that a carp would attack a swimbait but hey. Imagine that a big ol carp on a AC plug[crazy]
