Hello guys,
Gonne head to Laughlin in the morning and do a little fishing below Davis dam. Been a while since I've been fishing but I shouldn't be too rusty. I'll post how I do when I get back...

I was in laughlin around new years and went down to that little park/rec area on the AZ side just down from the bridge and went as far towards the dam as I could and casted ac plugs and bbz for an hour or so and didnt hook up but I KNOW there are some pig stripers in there. Also, I only had my bass gear but saw numerous trout jumping up and down the river so maybe bring some trout gear with you too. Have fun.

Dropped the kids off at school and was on the water by 11:30a. It was an absolutely beautiful day and I fished for all I was worth. However, I didn't even get one bite. I threw fly after fly, mixed in with a healthy amount of spincasting to no avail.
There was one other boat and a couple of guys fishing from shore and I didn't see any action for those guys either.
I am really happy with the new boat and motor. Handled the river quite well. If the wind lets up I'll prob go out again in the morning.
