Ririe Report - windriver - 02-02-2011 No school today so after doing a few chores around the house I packed up three kids and headed to Ririe. Too cold for school does not mean it is too cold for ice fishing.[cool] We didn't get set up until 10:30 so it was a late start hoping for some kokanee. Didn't see any on the finder today. My son caught three trout and I managed one perch, but I wasn't skunked.[laugh] I saw a lot of perch on the vex but couldn't get them to bite. My youngest son decided to step in a hole at the same time that the propane ran out so it was a short trip, but nice to get out. Glad to hear you guys got on the hard deck for a while! Are you going to move your ice house over deeper water? I think it is great that you have set up so that your boys can be comfortable and enjoy their outings with you. That in itself is a lot of work! Is it the wooden structure that's out there to the southwest? I guess it makes sense to leave it out there. It breaks down onto two sleds that we pulled out there. I will take pictures since I am staying out there with my scouts tonight.
