SFCR ice conditions - thebug - 01-31-2011
I drove out to salmon falls creek to both norton and big sand bay and there was a ton of open water and huge cracks (5ft wide in places) so needless to say i did not venture out. i then drove over to the dam and in the narrow area leading to the dam itself the ice is clear and appears thick but since i was alone i did not dare venture out to fish. I then drove over to ceadar creek res better known as roseworth res and it has much of the same story with its ice conditions

thx for the info. Was thinking about possibly hitting that place for my first time next week but don't really want to go swimming[crazy]

Sounds like there probably won't be anymore ice fishing there this year. I guess before long we'll have to launch the boat there.
