I fished Myrtle point from 11 to 4 and managed 12 rainbows from 12 to 18 inches. Spent time looking for the perch in deeper water but wasn't successful. Sounds like they are catching perch up in the narrows but that would have been quite a walk from west. By the way, they're having a derby up there February 19th and 20th. Sounds like fun.

The narrows are up to the north. If you have a four wheeler or snow machine you could get up there easier. I don't think there are any roads accessible to the narrows this time of year but I may be wrong. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in!

How accurate are your reports? I was there on Monday along with 5 other groups. I talked to everyone there except the most southerly group. I didn't talk to anyone who caught a perch. Maybe the southern group was getting some?

The reports I got came from west magic resort. Seemed pretty legit. They said the perch were hanging out along the brush line where the river channel is up in the narrows. Buggy, did you fish up in the narrows?

Yes. We were in the narrows, but in the upper end.
