curing spawn , what's your favorite recipe ? - lonehunter - 09-01-2003 the fall run is upon us here in the mit , steelhead and salmon are on there way in on the west side and all over the u.p. , time to collect thoes eggs for next year and save yourself some money by collecting the eggs and tying your own sacks . whats your favorite cure method or recipe ? They last about a year. Works for me. Other than that you would want to make sure that the eggs are completely covered in water or brine solution before freezing.
