Lake Mead Locations? - sbehnke - 01-22-2011
I'm planning to go out to Lake Mead next weekend in the boat and was wondering if you had any suggestions as to where to head for good fishing? The boat is currently docked at the Callville Bay Marina.

I've had decent success fishing for largemouth around Callville. If you want to go for a ride though, you could shoot over to boulder basin or take the longer ride through the canyon over to Overton Arm.
Fwiw, a 22# striper was caught in Boulder basin in the last two weeks and a 33# caught at overton last weekend.

Well its hard to tell someone where good fishing is because it varies day to day sometimes hour to hour. If your docked at calville and not famliar with the lake I suggest you stick around there and focus on those nearby coves. Or just troll around and hope for something to hook up.
