Slush on Devils Creek? - Cdragon - 01-20-2011
Hi All....
Just getting my stuff ready for this weekend and wondering what the conditions are on Devils Creek? Anyone been there in the last couple of Days? Should I prepare for the slush monster, or has it been cold enough to freeze the top layer?

Hello,
Was up there today. Around the edges is covered in snow, There is around 3 in. of snow on top of the slush.The slush is frozen. Other than the edges. You really cannot judge it. Packing any weight, bring some extra socks! Can be any where from a foot to ?. Becareful. Getting on the ice was a 2 ft. drop. in the water. Getting off was around 4 ft. The fishing was good. 10-1 pm. Nice sunny day. I can always use a bath. ; ) Have fun. I hope this helps.

Are you saying that there was a 2 ft gap between the ice and the bank which grew to 4ft by afternoon? I think it's the word "drop" I am struggling with.
I plan to use my snowmobile for set up and tear down at the derby on Saturday. Think that'll be possible??

The edges of the ice suck. Went in the water a little going out and a lot more coming back in last time........a machine may be very risky. Anybody know the conditions as of today?
