Dierkes Lake - fishingeek - 01-15-2011
I woke up this morning planning on going to Salmon Falls Creek Res., but as I was getting ready to leave I locked my keys in my vehicle and had a major delay.
Later in the afternoon I settled on going to Dierkes by Shoshone Falls. There is about 6 inches of ice and it seems stable. I fished for about hour and a half before I had to leave I had a couple bites, but no fish. The people I talked to were catching trout, but they were pretty small. There is a lot of water going over the falls though. It is pretty impressive. If I can figure it out I might post a picture later.

i had much the same story last week but i was able to ice six trout all pretty small but looking down through the hole you could see some huge trout cruse by take a look and keep going
