He said that means they don't have them and not sure when they will, just so you know. Could be awhile to get one. But, nice to see you again Joco. How is life been? Hang in there, I like reading your posts!!!! [signature] Re: [flygoddess] great deal for a starter in tubing - smallmouth89 - 01-13-2011 Joco, That tube is somewhat equivalent to the Fat Cat and the price is great. However, they won't ship to Canada. Look after that heart, man. Joni, I too have enjoyed Joco's posts for several years. He and I are kindred spirits in the kayak fishing world. Haven't been able to swing him to a tube or pontoon yet though. Everything's frozen up here in Ontario. All I can do is tie flies and dream. God Bless, Don P.S. Missin' your music at all? [signature] Re: [smallmouth89] great deal for a starter in tubing - flygoddess - 01-13-2011 Sometimes miss it, but time marches on. Good hearing from you too. [signature] Re: [flygoddess] great deal for a starter in tubing - smallmouth89 - 01-14-2011 Joni, What are you currently fishing out of? I'm still into the music. I sing and play on my church's praise team and I've been writing a number of songs lately.. God Bless, Don [signature] Re: [smallmouth89] great deal for a starter in tubing - flygoddess - 01-14-2011 I to write and play for relaxing. Plus i have a killer program for my Apple that makes music fun again. As for boat, I still have my Outlaw X5, but also the Renegade. How about you?[reply][/reply] [signature] Re: [flygoddess] great deal for a starter in tubing - kochanut - 01-14-2011 i would like to take credit for getting her hooked on the renegade! but i probably cant [:p] [signature] Re: [kochanut] great deal for a starter in tubing - flygoddess - 01-14-2011 Sure ! But who influence you to buy any NFO[ ][signature] Re: [flygoddess] great deal for a starter in tubing - kochanut - 01-14-2011 santa clause! [signature] Re: [kochanut] great deal for a starter in tubing - flygoddess - 01-14-2011 I have called Mojo that too...on rare occasions though...LOL [signature] Re: [flygoddess] great deal for a starter in tubing - smallmouth89 - 01-15-2011 Joni, I fish out of my Fat Cat tube and my Outcast 10 foot pontoon boat but I also really enjoy my Wilderness Tarpon kayaks. Except for the inability to cover distance on the water the tube is probably my favourite fishing platform. If the pontoon could go upstream on the rivers it would be the ideal as it fishes as well as the tube when using fins. Oars I use for covering water and I can beat guys in their aluminum prams with electric motors so I have no desire for a motor. Kayaks are a compromise between speed on the water and fishability, I sometimes take my float tube along on the kayak. I've never owned a boat and started with canoe then switched to kayak. About a dozen years ago I discovered the modern flotation devices and this site. I've been a happy camper ever since. About 5 years ago I discovered the wonders of the sit on top kayak after fishing out of a sit in kayak since the early 80's. Rcently I've been reacquainting myself with spinning and baitcasting but the flyrod still remains my weapon of choice. Which of the NFO products do you use and enloy the most? God Bless, Don [signature] Re: [smallmouth89] great deal for a starter in tubing - flygoddess - 01-15-2011 Tuff question, I have had the X5 (the 10'6" with standing frame) longer and with the flat bed trailer, was able to join even Tube Dude a couple of times by myself. Launch and bed the boat by myself, then battery and motor (I like it) But the Renegade I will be able to haul in my Grand Vitara with no trailer. I have only used it a few times as I bought it late in the season. It made those frosty winter trips like a pro though. Late winter here. [signature] Re: [joco] great deal for a starter in tubing - pontoonman - 01-15-2011 That's a great price maybe worth waiting for, if it's for real. That's what I paid about a year ago for the boat alone without the pump, etc. and I haven't seen it lower. The inflatable seat which is included is the best way to go IMHO. Lowest cost quality "V" tube that can be packed, other brands are at least a hundred dollars more than this price. Truth be told you can go on e-bay and get a new one cheaper I got mine for 108 shipped with fins and a pump. The thing that will annoy you about that tube is the valves they are not sewn in like a fish cat and when I used it for backpacking I would have to fight with it to get them lined up. I now thanks to koke float a scadden escape when I can drive in and I bought a fish cat for my hike in trips. It is a decent starter tube but then you get addicted and move up. [signature] Re: [orvis1] great deal for a starter in tubing - kochanut - 01-20-2011 we have another fishcat for those trips like last year also, cant wait to use it! [signature] Re: [kochanut] great deal for a starter in tubing - flygoddess - 01-20-2011 I thought you sold that?
