Southfork Snake / Hesie - EddieFish - 01-10-2011 We got out to the Southfork of the Snake Sunday afternoon to do some fly fishing. We fished around the Hesie area. The weather was OK for the first three hours or so. The Sun was out and the sky was blue, the bad thing was the temp was about 15 and we had to fight the ice covering our guides every other cast. It was still worth it. It was just nice to get out and catch some whitefish. I had a couple of new rods that I built over x-mas and they work great. Hopefully the weather will warm up and we will come up above freezing before too long. Nice whitefish! I know some people look down on the whitefish, which doesn't make sense to me as they aren't much different than their cousins the greylings. I couldnt believe the numbers of mule deer down along the river right now. Something to take into account for guys headed up there is be aware of the deer and try to not preasure them at all. Also where there is that much prey...... going to be cats around so keep your eyes open when walking in and out to spots. He poped the question and gave her the ring X-mas morning! I was pretty excited to have a new son-law / fishin partner until Sophie told me how much the weddings going to cost me!
