Another New Guy... - CHEF_JAY - 01-05-2011

This is my very first post on this site. Just wanted to say hey to everyone.

I currently live in San Diego, CA and plan on moving to Las Vegas, NV.

Any "Vegas" residents on this site?

I have a ton of questions concerning Lake Mead, best areas to live in, and bait and tackle shops.

Thanks all!

Welcome to the site Jay, here is a link to our Nv board: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/forum/gforum.cgi?forum=42
There are lots of good anglers there from the Vegas area that will be glad to point you in the right direction.

Hey thanks for that link. Im still trying to get use to this forum structure and layout.

I see over 7000 post. Looks like Im going to be busy looking for answers.

Im looking into getting a 21' bass boat. Will this be suitable for Lake Mead? (I have a 5 year old son that will be with me.)

Just worried about water/weather conditions. Choppy, windy, currents?

Thanks again.

You should ask the guys on the Nv board but in my mind a 21 ft bass boat would be sweet but for comfort, I love my buddies 21ft Jet boat, with a hard top. I've been in that boat in some pretty rough water, without a problem.
