Boise River Hitchhiker Steelhead report - nijimasu - 11-19-2010 There was a pretty good crowd waiting at Barber Park for the guests to arrive. Once they got here, poles lit up pretty quick-- for maybe 20 minutes, then the fish all but shut down. Semmed like everything was working- jigs/roe, spinners, plenty of flies. Saw a Spin fisherman next to me get a couple on a green wooley Bugger. I got one right off the bat, and then another after fishing all the way to dark, nymphing with a fly rod and throwing egg patterns- the second fish was pretty big, maybe 8 lbs. saw one hawg landed by another fly guy. I'm glad they find something to do with the fish. Windriver [signature] Re: [nijimasu] Boise River Hitchhiker Steelhead report - johnnyrainbow - 11-21-2010 Thanks for the report ! Even without catching a fish it was fun to watch others when the fishing was really hot. There were alot of fish rolling in the pool they planted into and all considered it was a fun experience. They plant again on the Friday after Thanksgiving. [signature] Re: [redfish1] Boise River Hitchhiker Steelhead report - windriver - 11-21-2010 Thanks for the report. Welcome to BFT.
