Lower Provo - flyfisher22 - 11-18-2010 So I hit up the lower Provo for a few hours Tuesday and caught a few nice browns. They liked the brassie the best. The spawn was in full swing, always fun to see. I remember have troubles catching fish last year at this time too. I know people always talk about this being the time to catch some of those big fish, but I just see them sitting on the redds and not interested in anything. I was having great success just prior to the spawn, and always have. Do people catch them off the beds?? I really didn't find many fish anywhere else but on their beds and I've noticed a few people fishing in those areas. What is good to use, just nymphs or streamers? I would like to hook into some of those big guys, but just don't know what the tatics are, or if you just need to find fish holding else where.
