Ostrich Spey Plumes - Browntrout - 09-25-2010
Ostrich Plumes and Herl are used to tie the Ray Charles pattern. Can Ostrich Spey Plumes be used to tie the Ray Charles fly? I want to use Shrimp Pink which is only available in Spey Plumes. Thanks.

I am going to say yes. The Plume is the whole feather which is made up of HERL. so basically the same thing, you just have to pull the herl from the Plume.
