I am planning a trip next summer (late August??) out west to fly fish. I like as much solitude as possible but recognize in this day and age it is difficult to get away for it all. Last years ago I spent a week in Yellowstone and enjoyed it, but pretty busy on the main rivers, of course. This summer I spent a week in the Bob on the S Fork of the Flathead. Solitude galore.
Next year I want to fish Rock Creek. I'll have a car and stay in cheap hotels or cabins. But I'd like to have a second location with great fishing as well--no more than a few hours drive away.
I like to wade fish.
Any suggestions?? Big fish is a plus but some degree of solitude and beauty are primary.
